A house show is pretty much as simple as it sounds. Someone opens up their home, inviting an artist (or multiple artists) to share music in their living room, backyard, basement, or wherever else they can fit people.
- An intimate listening experience without the distraction of a club, bar, or coffee shop
- Oftentimes there are great refreshments provided by the host
- Conversation and community with the artist and other fans
- Great music!
It’s the artist’s responsibility to bring a great show, it’s the host’s responsibility to make provide a listening environment, it’s the listener’s job to be attentive to the artist and respect the space that the host has provided.
Cause A Scene shows are open to the public, but every home has its limit to the number of comfortable listeners it can hold.
